Capitol Art Exhibition

The Capitol Art Exhibition (CAE) is an annual student art exhibition in honor of National Youth Art Month. In Georgia CAE has been a Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA) tradition for over fifty years. It began under the gold dome but is now too large for that space. Currently held in the Twin Towers building adjacent to the Capitol, CAE is the largest state-wide PreK through College-age  student art exhibition in Georgia. Participants and their teacher should contact their Legislators to arrange to meet at the Reception.​
​Artwork Criteria:  
- Each current GAEA member may enter two artworks
- Original, 2D artwork - no art criticism or group projects
- Note: No 3D artwork this year
- 2D not to exceed 24” x 30” (including mat)
- No glass, canvas, frames, or foam core –(our panels have difficulty hanging these)
- Matting - white or black mat board, maximum 3”
- Use a backing-keep it simple [Black or white, minimal writing], the back of your work
may be visible on the other side where other student work is displayed​
